About Me
Hi I'm Chih-I.
I am a research-driven Industrial and Product Designer who explores how design can support emotional well-being, memory, and meaningful human experiences. My work often focuses on sensitive topics such as grief, mental health, rehabilitation, and cultural rituals, transforming complex social and psychological issues into accessible, human-centered design solutions.
Rather than designing for aesthetics alone, I approach design as a way of thinking — a process of understanding people, systems, and emotions. Through user research, storytelling, and conceptual frameworks, I aim to create products and experiences that not only function well, but also resonate on a deeper emotional level.
With experience in physical products, tangible interactions, and experimental concepts, I enjoy working at the intersection of design, psychology, and culture. I am especially interested in projects that combine technology with empathy, and research with real-world impact.
