Dopamin & Storytelling

If life experiences were transformed into pages of a record, each page might carry its own distinct sensory memory and scent.

The human brain is inherently inclined to seek pleasure. In everyday life, we continuously search for our own form of “sweetness.” This instinctive pursuit of dopamine subtly shapes our choices, behaviors, and life trajectories.

In the field of design, such psychological mechanisms are not merely sources of stimulation or entertainment, but a design force that can be understood, guided, and consciously shaped.

This thematic series explores how design—through sensory engagement, interaction, and storytelling—
can transform dopamine-driven instant feedback
into a positive medium that supports healing, motivation-building, and long-term behavioral change.
