Background & Motivation
Children undergoing medical treatment often experience fear and anxiety. Clinical environments prioritize efficiency and hygiene, but rarely address their emotional and psychological needs.
This project explores how sensory elements—color, texture, light, and interaction—can create a more comforting and supportive environment for young patients.
Rather than developing a final product, it investigates how research insights can inform future healthcare design.

Outcome & Reflection
This research moves beyond seeking technical solutions for medical devices; it explores how to alleviate the psychological burden on children with chronic illnesses. Through in-depth analysis of pediatric color perception, the brain’s response to music, and behavioral patterns, I realized that the designer’s role is to be a "translator of medical procedures."
By redefining the cold, clinical process of medication as a daily ritual filled with interaction and sensory comfort, I sought a balance between rigorous pathological data and the sensitive psychology of the user. The result is a care tool that holds therapeutic potential while fostering a sense of dignity and emotional well-being.
